PRESIDENT BIDEN TAKES A LIBERTARIAN APPROACH TO RECOVERY

I applaud President Biden for taking a Libertarian approach to the storm funding. President Biden is dishing out the storm funding to the local states that have been hit by the hurricane. But he is letting the local states take control of their funding and direction of the resources which I have been calling for, for a long time. Each locality knows how to best handle the money according to its specific needs. I applaud President Biden for letting each locality direct the funding as they see fit.
President Biden released the monies available for federal funding in the disaster zones. But was this money requested each state or was it thrust upon by the federal government?
To get the disaster funding for an individual one might choose to apply for disaster relief funding. Currently, there is $86 million in federal aid going out to the states and individuals. So apply early if you need funding. It is great that the states and the individuals can choose to apply for funding if needed and it is not being thrust upon them by the federal government.
It is great that the governors of the affected area called up the National Guard to help out with the disaster area. I understand that the National Guard is sometimes sent to war. The National Guard is supposed to defend the border and defend the homeland. Their services should be used here instead of overseas.
I am happy to see that volunteer efforts like the American Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity are helping with the recovery efforts. The more charities that are involved in helping with recovery efforts the less one would need to rely on the federal government and the Biden administration for help.
It is great that HUD is helping with the recovery efforts. Finally, it seems like the government is off to the right start on funding the recovery effort. As always comments accepted.
