OH, CANADA, OH TRUMP, HOW COULD YOU?

President Trump announced that there will be a 25% tariff on Canadian goods starting August 1. Oh, Trump, how could you? This gives Canada time to make a move and adjust its actions accordingly to meet President Trump's demands. But President Trump is a good back-yard and schoolyard bully. Sometimes, just sometimes, the only way a bully learns is by being punched in the jaw.
President Trump will impose a 35 % tariff on Canadian goods starting August 1. Is that also a tariff on Canadian hockey players traveling to the United States for games or even worse, a tariff on those players if they sign with an American team?
I support these tariffs. America is now in a trade war caused by President Trump. President Trump might not know it, but he is causing inflation with these trade wars. A businessman should have better business sense than to impose tariffs on the world.
This is a war that America must win. It is going to get ugly fast in the summer. I am not saying that you should cancel your summer vacation to Canada or any other part of the world where President Trump has a tariff.
But President Trump must remember that a tariff is not only a tax on foreign goods and foreign countries, but it is also a tax on the Middle Class and the working poor that bear the brunt of these prices. As always, comments are accepted.
