WILL US ATTACK VENEZUELA?

Major reports are coming out of Venezuela, that United States warships are on the Venezuelan coast to try and take out the drug cartels. This is the wrong move by the United States. The better approach would be to have a presence in Venezuela and legalize all drugs.
America should not be trying to take out the drug cartels in Venezuela. I am not saying that they should work with the drug cartels. What I am saying is that America should legalize all drugs so that people can get the help that they need instead of living in fear. Most overdoses, I imagine, are because either someone did not get the help they needed quick enough, or that the people were afraid of the help staff reporting them to the authorities if the drug user misbehaved.
What we need is fewer arrests for drug offenses and more mental health help for drug offenders. People battling a drug addiction are battling a disease. They needed to be treated. As for me, I abuse coffee too much and need it. It is my superpower, sadly. As for me, I do not know how that addiction started. I just love coffee too much.
The best approach for the United States is to legalize all drugs so people can come out of the shadows and get the help that they need. Arresting people for a disease that is beyond the addict's control is the wrong approach. As always, comments accepted.
