TRUMP SHOULD NOT BAIL OUT ARGENTINA
By: Derek Varsalona
President Trump agreed to bail out the Argentinian population and government to the tune of $20 billion in United States Aid. This was a US bailout agreement that I disagree with to Argentinian President Javier Milei.
Although President Milie is a Libertarian, I think other Libertarians might agree with my statement. Bailouts are wrong, whether they involve major corporations or trading partners. I disagree with a bailout; however, I do not disagree with a loan. My theory is that a bailout means that the money is given to the nation or entity without the prospect of repayment. A loan must be paid back if not forgiven. In this case, President Trump is a horrible businessman who should have given the country of Argentina a loan that must be paid back over time. That way, America could charge interest on the loan, so America could make money off the deal. A bailout means that there is an investment with no recuperation on the cost end.
President Milel is a great Libertarian who should have gotten a loan that needed to be paid back over time with interest on late payments. He should not have gotten a bailout with no strings attached and no money to be paid back. As always, comments welcome.
