EDUCATION DEPARTMENT SUED OVER DISABILITY
By: Derek Varsalona
The Department of Education is being sued over discrimination against two disabled women who said their loans were denied without proper review. This is a case of outright discrimination.
The Education Department has no right to deny someone their application without proper review and going through the right channels. People depend on loans to get through drastically expensive education. The fact of the matter is that no administration has done anything to keep the cost of college down. I know that it is tough to run a college. With Athletics, Room and board, insurance, and other factors, running a college is a daunting task.
The fact of the matter is that the disabled are not given equal access to their education when their loans are denied without just cause. As always, comments are accepted.
