U.N DEAL SOCIALIZING THE WORLD
By: Derek Varsalona
It may just be that the entire world is now socialist on the climate. The United Nations struck a deal that the world's richest countries are going to have to support the poorer countries in the climate crisis. This means America, the world's richest country, is going to split most of the bill. That seems to be unfair, while the poorer nations have a free ride and do not contribute much to society in terms of climate change.
This is a bad deal for America. But the socialists are going to love it. The deal will weaken America's standing in the world. We will no longer be the American powerhouse that we once were. But I am not that worried, since President Trump and the Republicans are going to get us out of the agreement just like we got out of the Paris Climate Agreement once. I suspect we will also escape the Paris Climate Agreement again.
I am not saying that America should not help. We should, but what has happened is that America has gotten bullied into this climate agreement since America is the richest country in the world. That means our taxes are going to go up. Now what President Trump can do is lower taxes and then say oops sorry we do not have the money to make our end of the agreement.
Also, who is tracking where the money is going? These countries can use the money for other needs and the corrupt leaders could pocket the money. I do not think there is any oversight and that is concerning.
As of right now, $300 Billion is due by 2035. That money is coming from taxes. But more importantly, that money is coming from rich nations like America. The money spent on fire and floods I think is going to have very little oversight. America was bullied into this deal and President Trump is going to get out of it. I think what President Trump is going to do is lower taxes and then say we do not have the money to make our end of the deal. Touché.
