PRESIDENT TRUMP'S POLICY TO MAKE AMERICA SICK
By: Derek Varsalona
Doctor Trump, your patient is waiting in room number two, paging Doctor Trump. President Trump claims that he will cure America of diseases. Well, for starters, he has yet to abolish Obamacare, which he and other Republicans have been trying to do for a long time. And they failed.
It seems like President Trump wants to make his own health care plan. That means more government involvement in our system. But the government is not the cause of the solution. It is the cause of the ailment. How can REpublicans claim that they want to fix the broken government health care system with another government-run health care system for people under President Trump? The government plan is going to be much worse.
The best option is to make consumer choices in health care. Let people be able to purchase plans across state lines. Or better yet, if you want a true public option, make the option be that a non-government worker can enroll in the Congressional Health Care Plan or even the President's Health Insurance plan. Make those plans as the public option.
The best way to combat the rising cost of health care is to make more options available in the marketplace. That means letting people buy insurance across state lines. It also means letting people choose to go on the President's Health Care plan or the Congressional health care plan. The way to bring health care prices down is to let people buy the insurance that fits their needs across state lines. But better yet, True Health Care Reform is letting the Congressional and Presidential, Vice President, and all federal officers' health care plans be available to the public, as dare I say it, a public option. This is true health care reform. As always, comments are accepted.
