SUPREME COURT RULES NATIONAL GUARD
By: Derek Varsalona
In a blow to President Donald Trump, the Supreme Court ruled that he can not deploy the National Guard to Chicago.
My question is, what happens if the U.S. Supreme Court makes a ruling and no one follows the ruling? I am not a lawyer, so I am not familiar with the legal requirements for that. But knowing that President Trump is a man of his word and a person who defies rulings, I would not be surprised if President Trump defies the U.S. Supreme Court.
I would actually love to see President Trump defy the U.S. Supreme Court ruling and send the National Guard into Chicago. But I wonder if the President controls the National Guard; I thought the Governor controls the National Guard in their state.
My assumption is that President Trump is going to defy the U.S. Supreme Court by sticking his middle finger at the Supreme Court and sending the National Guard into Chicago. Buckle up, friends, this can get interesting. As always, comments accepted.
