FULL FLEDGED WAR IN THE MIDDLE EAST
By: Derek Varsalona
Due to President Trump's unjust war in Iran, the entire Middle East is now in crisis mode. Over the weekend, Israel fully attacked Iran in what they call is a self defense. I do believe Israel that they are defending themselves.
What I fear the most about Iran is that they are going to have a September 11, 2001, style attack on the American homeland or at least on American interests. I do not support this war in Iran. But now that we are in this war, America must win and finish the job.
The problem with this war is that the terms of a win is not clearly defined. I am afraid that with a war with Iran, we are going down the road of another Iraq. The fact of the matter is as I said at my dinner table Friday night, that America has never met a war it didn't like, even going all the way back to the American Revolution.
The fact is that Republicans love war. War is good for business on the defense contracting side of things. But this war with Iran is horrible for the American consumer. Gasoline and oil prices are going to go up if they have not done so already. Just when America was getting its inflation under control, I do think that the war in Iran is going to send oil prices northward through the roof. As of right now the world economy is in tatters. We have a fledgling economy right now that is on the brink, right now thanks to President Trump's unjust war in Iran.
Israel has not made the situation any better. They have hit the Iranians hard with a fresh attack. Let Israel fight the Great Satan Iran on their own terms. American blood should not be shed or spent in defense of Israel.
Due to the war in Iran, commercial planes have been destroyed. This is a direct attack on American commerce. As of right now, oil futures are up for Monday morning. Again, this is a needless war, and needless American precious blood is being spent in America's quest to democratize the Middle East. As always, comments accepted.
