TRUMP'S FUNDING RESOURCES ARE ALL POLITICAL
By: Derek Varsalona
President Trump was in Fletcher, North Carolina on Friday speaking about a natural disaster there. There is also a disaster in California but President Trump does not plan on visiting California.
By my calculations, this visit is all political. President Trump is in North Carolina because that is a Republican State or a swing state in most cases. So President Trump is trying to ensure up the Republican vote for Vice President J.D. Vance if he runs for President in four years. North Carolina is a swing state. Many African Americans are in North Carolina, and most vote Democratic. So President Trump is trying to turn North Carolina red predominately. As for California, they are a lost cause. They tend to vote Democratic all the time and President Trump is not visiting California because he does not see a political advantage to doing so. Shame on President Trump for that.
The reason why President Trump is visiting North Carolina is because it is a red state that voted for him. California is a blue state that did not vote for him. I think Governor Newsom is running for President he seems to be in the media a lot. So President Trump does not think that Republican J.D. Vance or whomever the Republican nominee is in four years can win California. These visits are purely political.
Another thing that President Trump did wrong is he made this political. He attacked FEMA for not doing their job in protecting people. Some people consider the funding for FEMA money to districts in the disaster zone to be racist. I could agree. I think most if not all people remember Hurricane Katrina and what they did to New Orleans. Again President Trump did not come to New Orleans aid fast enough since they did not vote for him. The fact that you would not help a city in crisis because of politics is sickening.
President Trump said, " I'm not going to California until I stop in North Carolina." This tells me the motive to help a state is all political to President Trump. That is wrong to play politics with political funding in a Natural Disaster. As always comments are accepted.
