FEDERAL GOVERNMENT GETS THEIR NECK SLASHED

Elon Musk is doing his job. President Trump said he wanted the federal government workforce reduced and now Elon Musk is delivering. As of today the IRS and U.S. Postal Service agreed to cuts. The USPS lost 20% of its workforce today 18,000 employees.
This was expected from the USPS. With the invention of email a while ago the USPS has been doing horribly. Not many people send out love letters anymore. Everything is done by email. I still send out my published works by mail after getting rejected by email but that is about it. Even taxes are done online nowadays.
The IRS and USPS agreed to make cuts. I support these cuts. But I do not support abolishing the IRS. Yes, the IRS is the American taxpayer's least favorite government program but it might be necessary. How is the government going to collect its money? The fact of the matter is that the IRS is Constitutional. The Constitution says the government has the right to collect taxes and levy fines. That is what the IRS does and that is what a tax is...a fine for being a hard-working American citizen.
I support these cuts to the IRS. But I do not support abolishing the IRS, since the government has the right to collect money and levy fines. As always comments accepted.
