TRUMP LIFTS SANCTIONS ON SYRIA

Syrians around the world are rejoicing. It is a new day in Syria as President Trump has lifted sanctions on the war-torn country. I applaud President Trump for coming to his senses and lifting sanctions on the Syrian regime.
The reasons I oppose sanctions are not because I like the Syrian regime. I do not like or hate them. But sanctions hurt the most vulnerable in society. The sanctions could or do hurt the people, especially the poor, disenfranchised, and the disabled.
Syria hailed a new era with the United States, as President Trump lifted sanctions on the Syrians. The trade war with Syria is over. This is a new chapter in dealing with relations with Damascus. This is a chance for greatness.
I applaud President Trump for coming to his senses about Syria. Hopefully, this is a step toward lifting sanctions for the rest of the world. As always, comments are accepted.
