DEMOCRATS ARE RIGHT TO SHUTDOWN THE GOVERNMENT

Okay, I'm going out on a limb here.   But I do support the Democrats' plan to shut down the government and risk funding to vital programs over the killings in Minnesota.  The Democrats are shutting down the government over the killings that are happening in Minnesota at the current time.

No one, and I mean no one, deserves to get killed over a protest.  The police in Minnesota are now turning the state of Minnesota into a war zone.  I do not think you would even be safe if you were sitting on your front porch.  You are definitely not safe if you are a Black or Latino American in Minnesota.

A word about cops.  Most cops are great people.  There are a few bad apples that sour the whole bushel.  Most cops, I do not think, look to start their day off by shooting to injure or kill someone.  Most of the cops are risking their lives to protect strangers, and they are trying to make it home to their loved ones.  Most cops, I believe, are great people. I know a few personally.

The Senate Democrats are willing to shut down the government over the killings.  I applaud the Democrats for taking such a bold approach.  Buyer, remember, they are going to call it the Schumer Shutdown once again.  Unlike the last shutdown, this shutdown has merit.

The killings in Minneapolis.  The best way for President Trump to lead is to not say anything.  Anything he says would be a shot in the arm and would invoke more protests at a later date, possibly nationwide demonstrations.  As always, comments are accepted.
