AI SHOULD BE PRIVATELY FUNDED

There is talk in Washington, DC, of public ownership of AI. I am against the government taking over the ownership of AI companies. The government control of AI can not be good for America. That is because the government destroys everything it touches.
President Trump and Senator Bernie Sanders claim they both want the government to own AI. That could not be a good move for America. When the government is involved in the process, it destroys the very nature of free enterprise, destroying the companies from within.
The reason the government wants to do this, so they say, is to create a public wealth fund. But the government has always destroyed public wealth for corporate greed and donations. The government's control of Artificial Intelligence would put America at a loss. The funds will not be distributed evenly, and the government will not return the profits to the public in the form of tax rebates and tax breaks. As always, comments are accepted.
