EARTHQUAKE HITS NEW YORK CITY

A major earthquake has hit New York City on Friday.  There was no structural damage but the earthquake was a 4.8 magnitude earthquake.  The earthquake was felt by 42 million people. 

I have been in an earthquake before when I was on Long Island.  I am currently living in Virginia and did not feel any tremors or aftershocks from the earthquake.  The good news is that there is no loss of lives or any structural damage associated with the catastrophic event.

This is very rare in New York City.  People are not used to this in that neck of the woods.  So it is really hard to tell if anyone was really prepared or if you can prepare for an earthquake anyway.

I pray for a safe recovery for the people of New York City.  I am glad that there is no structural damage in the process.  But what concerns me is the possible psychological damage that may be associated with this event.  People in New York are not used to earthquakes.  As always comments accepted.
